OUR STORY

Bikash Babu Sweets, a name synonymous today with Indian sweets and snacks, traces its humble beginnings to 2012. The operations started out as a small sweet shop in God's own country - ''KERALA" in Ernakulam. The shop initially sold Kolkata Specialty Sweets & Namkeen. There it found acceptance and the shop prospered. Bikash Babu Sweets was founded by two Bengali brothers who have been residing in Kerala for more than 3 decades. Amit Sarkar, who found this as a apt opportunity to introduce genuine Bengali Sweets and Food to the people, and with the support of his younger brother Sourabh Sarkar, made this a reality.

Having prospered and created a name for itself in all parts of the city, the two brothers set out in 2016, to write another chapter in Bikash Babu Sweets' story.

Bikash Babu Sweets set up shops in major cities across Kerala. Using their family recipes which were handed down through the generations to them, they offered a culinary experience that the people of Kerala had not witnessed before.

Bikash Babu Sweets soon became famous amongst the population for its Rasmalai, Rasgulla, Malpua and Kaju Katli amongst others. The brothers and the shop soon began to be known as Bikash Babu by the people of Kerala. That's how the name "Bikash Babu Sweets & Chaats" came into being.

With a name given by the people, the taste and fame spread with time. To cater to this rising demand, more new shops and outlets were set up. Bikash Babu Sweets during this phase transformed from being only a sweet shop to a store that offered fresh chaats and hot vegetarian meals as well.

Today, Bikash Babu Sweets has more than 25 outlets in India and new ones opening soon.

Bikash Babu Sweets tasted success in its sweets and restaurant business. With the world becoming more globalized and Indians settling far away from India, the family run enterprise decided to bring the traditional Indian offerings to Indians across the world and in the process also transform the industry and themselves.
